The Sound of Music opened on November 16, 1959, at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, and was the final collaboration of Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein II.  The Broadway musical and the famous film that followed were both critically acclaimed; and the musical continues to delight audiences to this very day.  You are almost guaranteed to be humming a tune from this show for weeks to come.  

The Old Opera House has assembled a cast of 43 talented performers to bring this show to life.  This stage production also contains two songs that were not included in the popular movie, No Way to Stop It and An Ordinary Couple.  The Sound of Music won the 1960 Tony Award for Best Musical and the film won the Academy Award for best picture in 1965.  

So, get back in the habit, and get back to the theatre, this is a show you don’t want to miss.
